EXCITING NEWS For NEW Ag Building Purchases!!


There is a new tax provision effective for 2011 where qualified property placed in service by the end of the year may receive bonus depreciation and be 100% written off this year.  The qualifications are that the property must be new, not used with a depreciable life of 20 years or less.  Special-purpose agriculture buildings would meet the depreciation limit, so if it is purchased new, it could be expensed within the year.  We are not responsible for determining whether the building meets the special-purpose guidelines, but you, the customer, may want to discuss that with your tax advisor.  Special-purpose ag buildings have met qualifications to be written off in one year for a long time since they qualify for Section 179 depreciation expensing.
